Apple Turnovers

I had a really bad day at work today, so I made it up to myself by spending the evening baking apple turnovers.

They didn't taste all that great either.

i'm sad you had a bad day. hope today will be better! with a little more shellac, your turnover would have looked just like the magazine picture!

oh! i almost forgot! this morning, trying to detangle the rats nest that is emma's hair, she looked in the mirror and said, "i like charlotte's hair." my heart stopped a little thinking she was already comparing herself to the blonde, straight haired girl in her class named charlotte. does it really start so young, this comparing yourself and likeing other peoples attributes better than your own? while i paused, emma filled in, "your friend charlotte, mommy. i like her hair." whew! i think she sees you two as having similar hair. just thought you might like the complement! (please take it that way!) don't know what brought you to her mind, though!
