Not that I want to be a shill for The Man or anything, but I just had to share. Whilst surfing AB's web site, I found a link to The Spice House. I remember AB visiting said Spice House on his Spice Capades show, but I don't remember him mentioning how cool their site is. You need a spice, you got it! And not overly expensive - three whole vanilla beans (Madagascar even) are less than what I pay at the local Food City for two, and are, I daresay, higher quality. Now, you might lose your shirt on the shipping, but put together a sizable order, and you just might get some spicy bang for your buck. They have lots of tips and recipes, and (here's my favorite part) your order is packed in a box, not with Styrofoam peanuts or old newspapers, but bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, and nutmeg. How cool is that? Check out the gift boxes - you can get an assortment of stuff for beef lovers, cookie bakers, coffee drinkers, etc, etc, etc. Sounds pretty sweet to me.
