Me man. Me cook meat.

We broke bad at Lowe's yesterday and bought a charcoal smoker. We have no idea what we're doing, but we have some instructions, and a grasp on the basic concept that meat, heat and smoke will produce a fair supper. We are currently smoking two racks of baby back ribs (which we hope will be tonight's supper) and a pork butt roast (which we hope will be BBQ sandwiches for various and sundry meals next week.) We are approaching this as a learning experience, which means two things: we didn't buy very expensive cuts of meat, and we have a back up plan to eat at church tonight if necessity dictates. I will keep you posted.
