NYC - Day One
We made it! We had an uneventful flight, apart from a delay on the runway, and two in-flight trips to the john by DP. We hit Times Square last night - ate at the Brooklyn Diner (see Mark's leaning tower of potatoes, below) and visited the Toys R Us store - they had a really cool Lego display and, of course, the ferris wheel (which we didn't ride, but did gawk at). And then there was The Lion King. I can't tell you how amazing that was. AMAZING. I cried during the opening, it was so awesome.

You are in my old stomping grounds! If you spend more time in Times Square you may pass by my old office building, 1441 Broadway/575 7th Ave. Lots of good people watching around there :). We'll be in TN next week 6/10-6/17, I hope you'll have time for a visit. JenK

WOW! NYC - hope you have a fantastic time. The LION KING was absolutely incredible, wasn't it? We saw it in Charlotte last summer - who doesn't cry during the opening scene? It's almost overwhelming. Simply amazing stuff. Have a BLAST! Remember me to old Times Square . . .etc.

Thanks for the info. The pictures are wonderful- I want to hear about the leaning tower of potatoes, and the opening of Lion King. What kind of wooden statue did Daniel have his nose stuck in? And sorry about the root top pool.
